Yorick’s Jus de Légumes

A Morning Ritual In A Glass

Each morning, as the house begins to stir,
you’ll find Yorick in the kitchen.
No blender. No rush. Just rhythm.
Rinsing roots. Cutting citrus. Stacking colour into the juicer.

What pours out is alchemy.

A stream of blood-orange brilliance—
not quite red, not quite gold—
a colour that feels ancient and electric all at once.

Beetroot, carrots, ginger, turmeric.
Lemon, green apple, celery.
Everything fresh. Everything alive.

And always,
just before the first sip—
a crack of black pepper.

It’s not just for taste.
The pepper activates the curcumin in turmeric, unlocking its full anti-inflammatory magic.
A small gesture. A powerful shift.

The Ingredients

  • 1 beetroot

  • 2 carrots

  • 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger

  • 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh turmeric

  • 1 lemon (peeled)

  • 1 green apple

  • 4 stalks of celery

  • Cracked black pepper to finish

Juice everything slowly. Stir gently.
Watch the colour bloom.
Top with pepper.
Sip with intention.
